ROS – Robot Operating System

A seven day, Level-one Robot Operating system workshop handled by Er. Sanjuna Mariam Mathews, Robotics Engineer, Rapid Labs, TCS R&I, which comprised of:

Day 1 –Introduction to ROS.

Day 2 – Ubuntu & ROS Installation

Day 3 – Modelling and Assembly of a differentially driven robot using Solidworks

Day4 -Export as URDF & configuration of a differential drive robot model in Gazebo

Day 5 – Build a custom world in Gazebo for the differential robot

Day 6 – Introduction to Gazebo Plugins & adding sensor plugins to robot description

Day 7 – Theoretical description on hardware implementation of a Differentially Driven Robot

ARTE – Amateur Robo Talent Exhibit

An exuberant talent hunt competition conducted by IEEE RAS SCT SB jointly with IEEE RAS Kerala where one can submit their own projects in the field of robotics. The event was successful in motivating amateur talents by acknowledging their works.

IEEE RAS Kerala Chapter organised a momentous two day event in collaboration with Rapid Labs, TCS on 15/05/2021 and 16/05/2021. Ms. Sarada Jayakrishnan Chairperson, IEEE Kerala Section inaugurated the event in the honourable presence of Dr. Venkat N Krovi, Treasurer, IEEE RAS, Michelin Endowed Chair Professor of Vehicle Automation.

Industrial experts mentored the sessions that opened up the domain of Robotics and Automation through design workshops and engaging webinars.

ROBO-T-TALES #SPEAKER-1

An electrifying talk series where young entrepreneurs in the field of Robotics & Automation, who have redefined usual norms by being not another brick in the wall, share their experience while travelling through the ‘road not taken’. The first speaker of the series was Mr. Rahul P Balachandran, the founder of Inker Robotics. Rahul Balachandran explained how he was connected to the technology around and how robots influence different levels of fields in this world. He gave a very brief description about himself and shared his experiences of how he had topped up to his position as the founder of Inker Robotics. He did not forget to share glimpses of videos about the Robots manufactured in Inker Robotics.
